Talofa Tourism Cabins Approved
A NEW tourist accommodation development in the Byron hinterland has been given the green light. The 42-hectare property at 533 Bangalow Rd in Talofa has been approved as a new accommodation retreat.
The DA was lodged with Byron Shire Council in February. You may know the property as the home to an existing palm tree farm. Talofa Palms Pty Ltd applied for six tourist accommodation cabins, each with two bedrooms, a kitchenette and a plunge pool for each cabin. Councilor Basil Cameron had concerns about the on-site parking and the plunge pools use of water.
